
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s defensive line depth is being tested as preseason camp rolls along. Star receiver Garrett Wilson also was not involved in the drills visible to reporters on Thursday. Wilson was not involved with drills but instead was working out with Kamryn Babb and Mitchell Melton — two players known to be out with injuries. This was the first time Wilson was seen outside of normal practice procedures. He has not been known to be dealing with a prior injury. An extended absence for Wilson would obviously be critical, regardless of OSU’s talented depth at the position. He and Chris Olave are widely considered the best returning receiver combo in college football and a crucial safety net for the yet-unnamed first-time starting quarterback. Redshirt freshman Julian Fleming and freshman Marvin Harrison Jr. would be among the players taking more first-string reps in Wilson’s place. A video…
