
COLUMBUS, Ohio — One of Ohio State football’s 2022 offensive line targets has experienced the trials and tribulations of the recruiting cycle. But Carson Hinzman has learned the problems that arise are more good than bad. When Hinzman, a 4-star interior offensive lineman from Saint Croix Central (Hammond, Wis.), officially visited Ohio State on June 11, he was not exactly sure the trip was worthwhile. Not only was the visit rewarding, but it also left him with a dilemma. “We really did not have much expectation just because I hadn’t been offered by them. We didn’t really know anything about Ohio State,” Hinzman told cleveland.com. “We were blown away.
