COLUMBUS, Ohio — Quinn Ewers told Buckeye Scoop’s Kirk Barton that he will arrive in Columbus on Saturday to begin his Ohio State football career. Whether he becomes a part of the quarterback battle in preseason camp remains to be seen. Ohio State is scheduled to hold an intrasquad scrimmage on Saturday morning and take Sunday off. Ewers’ insertion into practice would not happen until next week. As of Friday evening, Ewers is not yet listed as an enrolled student in Ohio State’s online directory. Ewers told Barton that OSU quarterbacks coach Corey Dennis said he would “take it slow and not throw the whole playbook at me.” The former No. 1 prospect in the 2022 class announced earlier this month that he would reclassify to 2021 and enroll at Ohio State this fall to take advantage of name, image and likeness opportunities.
