COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s contention for another playoff berth will begin behind three other national contenders in the preseason Associated Press Top 25. The Buckeyes received one first-place vote and are ranked No. 4 in the season-opening rankings. Defending national champion Alabama is ranked No. 1 and received 47 No. 1 votes. No. 2 Oklahoma and No. 3 Clemson received six first-place votes apiece. No. 5 Georgia received the other three No. 1 votes.
