COLUMBUS, Ohio — The recruitment of Christian Gray is just getting started. Gray (6-0, 175 pounds), a 2023 4-star junior cornerback from DeSmet Jesuit in St. Louis, was offered by the Ohio State football program after a camp session on June 2. The Buckeyes became the fourth school to offer Gray, the No. 151 player and No. 18 CB in the class. It’s early in his recruitment but Ohio State has a few advantages. It was not by coincidence that when the dead period lifted on June 1 that Gray was en route to Columbus for his first visit. Gray earned an invitation from defensive coordinator Kerry Coombs, a chance to prove to the coaching staff that he was worthy of being a Buckeye. With a blazing 4.4 in the 40, Gray left no doubt.
