COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s home opener against Oregon provides another chance to answer some questions. Often season openers are a first look at what a team has been planning for nine months, but things don’t always go as planned. It’s the first time players have lined up against someone who isn’t wearing the same colors and the first time a coaching staff has to make adjustments. First games are often ugly while also providing reasons for optimism. But it’s in the second game that you start finding out exactly what a team is, especially when facing another top 15 team with similar postseason aspirations.
