
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football is no longer the highest-ranked Big Ten team in the Associated Press Top 25 poll — or the highest-ranked team in its own state. Ohio State dropped six spots to No. 9 in the Week 3 poll after a 35-28 home loss to Oregon. The Ducks, who went into the game ranked No. 12, jumped to No. 4. Iowa is ranked No. 5 after a 27-17 victory at previous top 10 team Iowa State, and is now the highest-ranked Big Ten team. Penn State rose one spot to No. 10, merely 24 voting points behind the Buckeyes (1,029-1,005). Cincinnati dropped one spot to No. 8, but is now the highest-ranked team from Ohio.
