Ohio State football commit Gabe Powers is ‘Mr. Do it All’ as a high school football player: Buckeyes Recruiting


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Gabe Powers is coming to Columbus to play defense as the No. 46 player and No. 5 linebacker in the country. But his career at Marysville High School has seen him play every position imaginable, as it’s pretty rare for him to come off the field. He plays in all three phases of the game, which was on full display on Friday night. The four-star recruit ran for 106 yards, and a touchdown on 12 carries as a running back on offense. As a punter, he was called on five times for an average of 34.8 yards. As a linebacker, he recorded seven tackles, one tackle for loss and one sack. His efforts in a 27-7 win over Hilliard Bradley earn him Cleveland.com’s Ohio State Football Defensive Recruit of the Week honors. Power joins C.J. Hicks as two top 50 linebackers in the Buckeyes 2022 recruiting class.…
