COLUMBUS, Ohio — C.J. Hicks is doing everything in his power to makes sure that Ohio State football’s 2022 recruiting class regains its spot at the top of the recruiting ranks. That same drive is used on the field when he’s leading Archbishop Alter High School. The Knights have only put together a 2-3 record, but the five-star linebacker has recorded 52 tackles, nine tackles for loss and two sacks. As an offensive threat, he’s run for 301 yards rushing and a score and has 255 receiving yards and two touchdowns. His numbers suggest he’s competing for the Mr. Ohio Football honor. The problem is he’s not the only Ohio State target doing so. He’s joined on that journey by Penn State quarterback commit Drew Allar.
