TreVeyon Henderson earns Big Ten Co-Offensive Player and Freshman of the Week honors following Ohio State football’s win over Tulsa


COLUMBUS, Ohio — An Ohio State football player has earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors for the third straight week. But this time, the honor goes to its running back. TreVeyon Henderson ran for 277 yards and three touchdowns, leading the Buckeyes to a 41-20 win over Tulsa. Those yards are the most by any OSU freshman, breaking Archie Griffin’s record set in 1972. This honor comes after C.J. Stroud held it for the past two weeks. Henderson’s efforts also earned him Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of Week honors alongside Michigan State quarterback Payton Thorne. Henderson was one of the few bright spots for an Ohio State team that still seems to be finding itself. It still may have questions on defense and a quarterback still going through growing pains.
