
COLUMBUS, Ohio — In his two games against Rutgers as Ohio State’s quarterback, Justin Fields made light work of the Scarlet Knights. He led the Buckeyes to two wins while completing 39 of 47 passes (82.9 percent) for 619 yards, nine touchdowns and no interceptions. For a guy known as one of the more accurate quarterbacks in college football, he redefined the term in those two games. That’s a description C.J. Stroud is still striving for in the early stages of his career. He’s flashed in moments, and OSU’s had its fair share of explosive plays, but the efficiency hasn’t always been there.
