
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Sonny Styles is by far the most important target on Ohio State football’s recruiting board regardless of what class we’re discussing. He’s 6-foot-4, 215 pounds and has the athletic build that makes the possibilities limitless. That doesn’t come along in every recruiting cycle, which is why he’s rated as the No. 8 player and top safety in the 2023 class. It’s also why it’s so important that the Buckeyes joined Clemson, Florida State, Notre Dame and Ole Miss as the final teams he’s still considering. Styles is the second five-star/high-priority 2023 target in the past week to narrow down his list in a way that suggests that the next announcement — whenever that may be — is a commitment.
