What Xavier Nwankpa’s top three list means for Ohio State football: Buckeyes Recruiting


PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Ohio State football is one step closer to adding one of its last two 2022 defensive back targets after Xavier Nwankpa revealed his top three. The nation’s No. 45 player and No. 3 safety listed the Buckeyes alongside Iowa and Notre Dame with plans to visit each. He’ll attend OSU’s home game against Penn State on Oct. 30. This list cuts down from the top seven he released in May. Nwankpa has long been favorited to Ohio State even if he’s chosen to take his time making a decision. Columbus was one of his four stops during the summer for official visits attending the Buckeye Bash 2.0 on June 4. He also visited Iowa, Notre Dame and Texas A&M.
