Ohio State grade card: Buckeyes’ improvement stands out even if Rutgers was a bit overrated


A grade card on Ohio State’s 52-13 win over Rutgers, a game in which standout receiver Chris Olave said the Buckeyes “got back to playing Ohio State football.” OFFENSE: A It’s almost impossible to get much more efficient than Ohio State was in the first half when it scored six touchdowns and a field goal the first seven times it had the ball to crush any hope Rutgers had of being competitive. Quarterback C.J. Stroud played his best, most consistent game of the season after resting his sore shoulder last week. The redshirt freshman was 17 of 23 for 330 yards and five touchdowns in OSU’s win. Ohio State had 541 yards of total offense.
