COLUMBUS, Ohio — Compared to the season’s tumultuous opening weeks, Ohio State football appears to be approaching midseason with a concept of the players who comprise its core lineup. Lingering injuries continue to prevent the Buckeyes from putting their best 22 on the field. An idle week following Saturday’s homecoming game against Maryland could provide a boost in that regard. With the exception of inside linebacker, and possibly cornerback, the two-deep structure has snapped together cleanly during lopsided victories over Akron and Rutgers.
