Grading C.J. Stroud in Ohio State football’s 66-17 win over Maryland


COLUMBUS, Ohio — C.J. Stroud has taken an uptick in efficiency since taking a week off to rest his shoulder, and that was on full display in Ohio State football’s 66-17 win over Maryland on Saturday. Over the last two weeks against the Terrapins and Rutgers, he’s completed 41 of 56 passes for 736 and 10 touchdowns with no interceptions. That’s compared to the first three games against Minnesota, Oregon and Tulsa when he was 63 of 101 for 963 yards and eight touchdowns with three interceptions. He’s gotten comfortable in his role as QB1, and his health has allowed him to be his best self in the process.
