COLUMBUS, Ohio — A homecoming crowd of 99,277 fans watched as the Ohio State Buckeyes easily took care of business, 66-17, against the Terrapins of Maryland on Saturday afternoon. It felt more like an early September game, rather than early October, as the temperature hovered in the mid-70s and the bright sun shone down on fans in Ohio Stadium as they watched their Buckeyes win their third straight blowout game, led by quarterback C.J. Stroud’s 406 passing yards and five touchdowns. As the game became more lopsided, more and more fans slowly left the stadium after each Buckeyes touchdown, but the diehard fans in the student section stuck around for the traditional singing of “Carmen Ohio” following the game.
