
COLUMBUS, Ohio – It’s unclear who will become the Ohio State football program’s first running back commit in the 2023 class, but the options are looking more potent by the week. Four running backs in particular combined for nearly 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns over the weekend. Here’s a look at what kind of production could be headed to Columbus in a few years.
Richard Young, Lehigh, Lehigh Acres, Fla. In just five games, Young, the top-ranked running back, according to the 247sports.com composite, has eclipsed his total rushing yards all of last season (989) as he crossed the 1,000-yard mark. Young racked up 25 carries for 169 yards and one touchdown to help the Lehigh Lightning gut out a 14-7 victory over Charlotte.
