
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football ‘s offensive line will spend the second half of the season making the case that it might be the best in the country. Recent evidence suggests that claim might hold down to the sixth or seventh spots on the line. According to Pro Football Focus’ grading scale, left tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere is the highest-rated OSU offensive lineman with a grade of 86.6. His opposite bookend, Dawand Jones, comes in two spots behind at 86.4. Yet right in the middle stands Matt Jones at 86.5. The sample size is smaller, with Matt Jones playing about half the snaps of those two tackles. He started two games in place of Thayer Munford at left guard and has subbed in there and at right guard over the past two weeks.
