The No. 7 ranked Ohio State women’s volleyball team won its sixth straight match and improved to 16-2 overall with a sweep (25-13, 25-20, 25-6) of Rutgers at the Covelli Center Saturday. The Buckeyes made quick work of the Scarlet Knights, scoring the first eight points of the first set, scoring 18-straight points in the final frame, and wrapping up the entire match within one hour and 12 minutes. “I think this was a good test of our discipline,” said OSU head coach Jen Flynn Oldenburg. “Rutgers is a team that prepares well and we wanted to make sure that we came out and set the tone and take it to a team that we should beat on paper. I feel like our team had a great mentality coming in.” This was the best hitting performance (.443) of the season for the Buckeyes. Arica Davis recorded her 100th career kill in the match.…
