Despite having a bye week, Ohio State keeps moving up in the polls coming in at No. 5 in both the USA Today Sports AFCA Coaches Poll and the AP Top 25 Poll. That ranking seems to be pretty consistent with most of the experts, including Joel Klatt. Klatt too put the Buckeyes at No. 5, just ahead of Michigan who was in the No. 6 spot. It’s not a bad place to be, but in this scenario, OSU no longer controls its own destiny, thanks to Iowa laying an egg at home against Purdue. Another interesting move on Klatt’s poll is moving Oklahoma up to No. 2 in his rankings. He must really like true freshman Caleb Williams a great deal after one week as the starter in Norman. As good as Williams might be, the Sooner defense still can’t stop a nose bleed, so I’m not sure how…
