
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Paris Johnson Jr. is a left tackle by nature, but he’s been willing to spend his sophomore season playing right guard for Ohio State football. Though he’s done a solid job, that doesn’t mean the transition’s been easy. He’s 6-foot-6 and 215 pounds. That’s not the ideal size for an interior defensive lineman. That’s even more of an emphasis when discussing a player once rated as the No. 7 player and top tackle in his recruiting class. “Being a guard’s all about being there for your center,” Johnson said. “If you’re a tackle, you’re thinking about my guy (and) that’s it depending on the play.
