
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Well, Penn State made it a little more interesting against Ohio State than most people were expecting. The No. 20 Nittany Lions walked into Ohio Stadium as 18.5-point underdogs against the No. 5 Buckeyes. And for a good portion of an overcast Saturday night, Penn State looked like it might be able to deliver the latest shock of this college football season. Ohio State, though, wouldn’t break against Penn State, and the end result was a 33-24 win for the hosts before an announced crowd of 102,951. The Nittany Lions (5-3, 2-3 Big Ten) have now lost three straight games, while the Buckeyes (7-1, 5-0) extended their winning streak to six games and continued to make their case on the national stage ahead of the first release of the College Football Playoff rankings Tuesday night.
