
During James Frankin’s time in State College, Penn State has hung in against Ohio State on just about every occasion. The Nittany Lions, 19-point underdogs Saturday night at the Horseshoe, did it again. Both sides failed to do much in the running game – save for a few plays — and the contest boiled down to the passing games and mistakes. The Buckeyes scored a defensive touchdown and fab freshman runner TreVeyon Henderson gashed the Lions for a 68-yard run in the second half to set up his short scoring run. It was enough for a 33-24 Ohio State victory in front of 102,951. Other than that, this was an even game. No. 20 Penn State (5-3) lost its third consecutive game and No. 5 Ohio State improved to 7-1.
