COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State basketball team won its only tune-up ahead of the 2021-22 season Monday night in an 82-46 win over Indianapolis and provided hints into how this season may go in the process. Louisiana transfer Cedric Russell was the only player who didn’t play in the first half, where the minute distribution was spread as evenly as possible, showing off every possible look fans could see this season. The Buckeyes were the clearly more talented team in a game that often was about a scrappy underdog fighting to compete with a superior team that was tinkering with its parts. The Buckeyes never trailed and led by as many as 36 points. Russell eventually saw action as the first man off the bench in the second half.
