
ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio — Avery Henry of St. Clairsville did not wait long to cash in on his Ohio State football offer. Two days after announcing that he’d received one, he became the 16th member of a 2022 recruiting class that is ranked fourth in the nation. The commitment came fast, but the lead-up was anything but. “I’d been talking to them for a solid two years now,” Henry told cleveland.com. “We’ve been off and on then the last year is when they really started to talk to me to get to know me.” The Buckeyes were intrigued by Henry as an offensive tackle, but weren’t sold on his work ethic.
