
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Hard to quibble with Ohio State football’s offensive line development in recent years. Thayer Munford and Dawand Jones came to the Buckeyes as projects, to differing degrees, and became standouts. Nicholas Petit-Frere appears to be maxing out his potential. Paris Johnson Jr. is starting right on schedule, though out of position. Luke Wypler, despite some hiccups against Penn State last week, was ready to start in only his second season. Yet recruiting up front remains a source of consternation for OSU fans. After coming up short on some elite tackles in the past couple of cycles, the Buckeyes have been forced to project based on their development too much for some people’s tastes.
