Ohio State football vs. Nebraska score predictions: Are the Buckeyes in for a fight?


COLUMBUS, Ohio — In the first five games of their Big Ten crossover series, Ohio State football has outscored Nebraska by an average score of 51-14. Only once in that span did the Cornhuskers lose by fewer than 35 points. That 2018 game where a young Adrian Martinez put a scare in a sub-par OSU defense at Ohio Stadium remains a distant memory. And yet, bookmakers set a line that suggests Nebraska can close out the series between these two historic powers with a competitive game. As of Thursday the line sat at 15, which is where it opened on Sunday. Of Nebraska’s last five losses, four came against teams included in the first playoff rankings reveal: No. 3 Michigan State, No. 7 Michigan, No. 8 Oklahoma and No. 20 Minnesota. (The other came at home last week against Purdue.) Final total margin of those games: 25 points.
