
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State’s offense, maybe, features the best group of receivers, the best offensive line, the best freshman running back and one of the best play callers in the country, and a Heisman Trophy candidate at quarterback. That’s certainly what most of us thought two weeks ago. So how did that group manage just 26 points at Nebraska in a game that could have gone either way in the fourth quarter before Ohio State held on for a 26-17 win? Receiver Garrett Wilson didn’t make the trip Saturday due to injury issues, and he might be the player who would be No. 1 for the Buckeyes when it comes to playing high-level, consistent football this season. So it’s fair to say the Buckeyes were without their best player. But Chris Olave, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, TreVeyon Henderson, Jeremy Ruckert and that line should have been enough to make that easier.…
