Wide receiver Garrett Wilson out for Ohio State football's game at Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. — For the first time in his three seasons at Ohio State, wide receiver Garrett Wilson is unavailable. Wilson, who had appeared in 30 consecutive games for the Buckeyes, including throughout a COVID-19-ravaged season last fall, will miss Saturday’s contest at Nebraska. He is one of 13 players who are listed as unavailable on the pregame status report. No reason for his absence has been given as the program is typically mum on injury situations. Wilson has formed a prolific pass-catching duo with Chris Olave, giving quarterback C.J. Stroud, a redshirt freshman and first-time starter behind center, a pair of skilled veteran playmakers to rely on this season. Through eight games, Wilson has been the Buckeyes’ leading receiver with a team-high 43 passes for 687 yards and six touchdowns.
