USATSI Oregon climbed two spots to No. 5 in the latest iteration of the AP Top 25 on Sunday. The Ducks notched a tough 26-16 win over Washington, allowing them to leap No. 6 Ohio State, which had its own struggles in a road win over Nebraska during Saturday’s action. Oregon ranked seventh in the previous AP poll, but was pushed ahead of the Buckeyes — which, of course, remains the signature win on its schedule. Cincinnati held onto the No. 2 spot after appearing at No. 6 in the initial playoff rankings. Alabama and Oklahoma held firm at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, with the Sooners enjoying a bye week. Michigan State dropped three spots after losing 40-29 to Purdue, but still stayed ahead of No. 9 Michigan thanks to its head-to-head win in Week 9.
