Ohio State football has its challenges against giant-killer Purdue

Here is the scouting report for Saturday’s Purdue-Ohio State game: The last meeting You don’t remember? Yes, you do. In 2018, Ohio State went to Ross-Ade and got hammered 49-20. Purdue student Tyler Trent, a terminal cancer patient who became an inspirational figure, predicted the upset. It was a more thorough beatdown than Trent or any Boilermaker fan could have expected. Purdue led 14-3 at halftime and stretched it to 28-6 early in the fourth quarter. The Buckeyes never mounted a serious challenge despite Dwayne Haskins’ 470 passing yards. State of the Buckeyes Ohio State is No. 4 in the College Football Playoff rankings, so if the Buckeyes keep winning, they’re a virtual lock to make the semifinals.
