
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football backup quarterback Jack Miller III pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of reckless operation during his Thursday court appearance for an original citation of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. According to online court records, a charge of driving in marked lanes was also dismissed in Franklin County Municipal Court. Miller paid a $150 fine. The original OVI charge was classified as a first-degree misdemeanor, but the reckless operation charge is a minor misdemeanor. Miller has been suspended since the morning of the traffic stop, on Nov. 5. Ohio State coach Ryan Day said last week he was awaiting additional details in the case before making a decision on the length of the suspension. Per dashcam footage of the traffic stop, Miller told an Ohio State Highway Patrol officer he was transporting other players home. Miller has served as the Buckeyes’ third-string quarterback this season.…
