Alabama holds off Ohio State for No. 2 in coaches poll


Alabama remained No. 2 in the AFCA coaches poll Sunday for a third consecutive week, holding off Ohio State after the Buckeyes’ blowout win over Michigan State. Ohio State moved from No. 4 to No. 3 in the coaches poll, trading places with Cincinnati. But Alabama’s 1,450 voting points eclipsed the 1,428 given to the Buckeyes for No. 2 in the poll behind Georgia.
