COLUMBUS, Ohio — Count Denzel Burke among the Ohio State football players who could have kept playing against Michigan State on Saturday if needed. The freshman cornerback left that game briefly after he made a pass breakup but immediately grabbed his shoulder in pain. He never went to the medical tent or locker room for examination, though. After some sideline conversation with a member of the athletic training staff, Burke returned to play in the first half. “I could have played the second half, but we were doing our thing,” Burke said while attending a Feed the Need event at TownHall in Columbus’ Short North. With OSU up 49-0, there was no need for players with any hint of injury concern to return. The Buckeyes started the third quarter with an all-reserve secondary: Ryan Watts and Lejond Cavazos at cornerback, Kourt Williams at Bullet and Cameron Martinez at free safety.…
