
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football is optimistic it will have a big-play threat back for The Game at Michigan on Saturday. Buckeyes coach Ryan Day said the team hopes to have freshman kickoff returner Emeka Egbuka back after he missed the Michigan State game for unspecified reasons. He was listed as unavailable on the pregame status report. Egbuka leads the Big Ten Conference and ranks fifth nationally in kickoff return average at 32.08 yards. He is one of 16 players with three returns of 40 or more yards. Julian Fleming lined up deep for the Buckeyes last Saturday. Michigan State kicked off only twice, and he returned one for 11 yards.
