Four-star 2023 OT Payton Kirkland builds on relationship with Ohio State during second Columbus visit: Buckeyes Recruiting Roundup


CLEVELAND, Ohio – When it comes to his recruitment, 2023 Ohio State football offensive tackle target Payton Kirkland does not reveal much. But when it comes to his takes on college football, there’s no holding back. Kirkland, a four-star prospect from Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, is the No. 139 player and No. 12 OT in his class. He has offers from 46 schools but has been focusing on only 12 since late September. After making 11 visits this summer, the 6-foot, 5-inch, 330-pound standout has only seen Florida and Ohio State this fall. A Chicago native and now the No. 27 player in Florida, Kirkland, was on campus for the Buckeyes’ 56-7 romp over Michigan State last weekend.
