ANN ARBOR, Mich. — It wasn’t yet five minutes into Saturday’s game, but as the snow swirled, the maize pom-poms pulsated to the music inside Michigan Stadium, and the Michigan Wolverines held a touchdown lead on the Ohio State Buckeyes, the scene was set. If Michigan was ever going to win a game in the rivalry after losing 15 of the last 16, it would look and feel like this. A little weather, a little belief and a little lead to put a little pressure on what had been the best offense in the country. It didn’t mean it would work.
