
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Despite what Ohio State fans would consider a dark day in on Saturday, the Buckeyes did receive some good news on the recruiting trail during The Game. Four-star running back Cedric Baxter Jr. of Edgewater High School in Florida released his top 12 near halftime of the Big Ten showdown, putting the Buckeyes into the mix along with a host of Southern schools, which include Ole Miss, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Arkansas, Florida State, Alabama, Texas A&M, Miami, Central Florida and Louisville. Baxter is a former Florida State commit, but backed off that verbal agreement on April 15. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound workhorse stuffed the stat sheet for Edgewater this season.
