COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football knows it will play Utah in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1. It does not yet know how many of the draft-eligible Buckeyes who helped form a 10-2 regular season will decide to participate in the game. Increasingly in recent years, players with early round NFL Draft potential have opted out of bowl games that do not have championship implications. Ohio State’s own Denzel Ward sat out the Cotton Bowl in 2017.
