What Zion Branch’s commitment to USC means for Ohio State football: Buckeyes Recruiting


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s final defensive back target in the 2022 class is now off the board following Zion Branch of Bishop Gorman High School in Nevada’s commitment to USC. This decision seemed inevitable when the Trojans hired Lincoln Riley away from Oklahoma. The nation’s No. 47 player and No. 6 safety grew up dreaming of playing for USC, but that decision wasn’t possible for most of his process because of the program’s lack of direction. It now had that and plenty of momentum to start putting up the wall around California by hiring Riley.
