
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s potentially crowded defensive end situation for 2022 will likely lose a contender as Darrion Henry-Young has entered the transfer portal. Rivals was first to report Henry-Young’s potential departure. The second-year defensive end from Cincinnati was a four-star prospect and the No. 154 overall player in the 2020 class. However, he played only against Akron and Tulsa this season and in four games over his two seasons. Starting defensive end Zach Harrison has not announced whether he intends to return for 2022. True freshmen J.T. Tuimoloau and Jack Sawyer both return from productive first seasons. The Buckeyes also expect veterans Javontae Jean-Baptiste and Tyler Friday — who missed this season with a torn ACL — back next season.
