GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Ohio State quarterback Jack Miller announced he is bound for Florida, becoming coach Billy Napier’s first get from the transfer portal. Miller, who announced his decision on Twitter, played sparingly during two years with the Buckeyes. He will have three seasons of eligibility remaining next season as a redshirt sophomore. Miller joins a Florida roster with three scholarship quarterbacks, including redshirt freshman Anthony Richardson — expected to be the front-runner for the starting job. First-year freshmen Carlos Del Rio-Wilson and Jalen Kitna did not play in 2021. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Miller was a four-star prospect at Chaparral High in Scottsdale, Ariz., and the nation’s 13th-ranked pro-style quarterback in the 2020 class.
