Ohio State football’s Garrett Wilson opting out of Rose Bowl to enter 2022 NFL Draft


ANAHEIM, California — One of Ohio State football’s greatest receivers has opted to end his 2021 season and prepare for the 2022 NFL Draft. Garrett Wilson announced Monday he will not play in the Rose Bowl as he prepares for the NFL Draft. He is widely expected to be one of the first receivers selected. Wilson closed his career by totaling 1,058 yards and 12 touchdowns on 70 receptions over 11 games this season. He will forego his senior season after spending the past two-plus seasons in the Buckeyes’ starting lineup. The absence of Wilson creates opportunities for the young receivers already expected to ascend into bigger roles in 2022.
