Jaxon Smith-Njigba joins Dwayne Haskins, Terrelle Pryor as Ohio State Rose Bowl MVPs

Ohio State’s Jaxon Smith-Njigba set the all-time single-game bowl record for receiving yards with 347 in Ohio State’s 48-45 Rose Bowl victory over Utah. Hawaii’s Jason Rivers recorded 308 in the 2006 Hawaii Bowl. Smith-Njigba also hauled in a school record 15 receptions. That matched what he did against Nebraska this season and bested David Boston’s 14 catches in 1997 against Penn State. Prior to Smith-Njiba’s performance, Terry Glenn held the mark for most receiving yards in a single game by a Buckeye with his 253-yard day in 1995 at Pittsburgh.
