Brown also contributed four assists and seven rebounds. Northwestern started slow before turning up the heat and going on a long 8-0 run in the middle of the first quarter, capped off by two fastbreak layups off two steals by Burton. Ohio State found a response late to hold onto their lead and ended the quarter on top.
