Rex Kern, who was a three-sport standout at Lancaster High School and was the starting quarterback who helped lead Ohio State to the 1968 National Championship, wrote a book about growing up in Lancaster and his time at Ohio State. Author and former Ohio State quarterback Rex Kern will be speaking at the Dover Public Library on Saturday, Feb, 12 at 6:30 p.m. Kern will speak on his new book, “The Road to the Horseshoe and Beyond: How a Small-Town Athlete Benefited from Ohio State Football to Build a Life.” A book signing will follow the program, which is free and open all. Copies of his book will be available for purchase for $50/each with proceeds benefitting the Tuscarawas County Chapter of the Ohio State Alumni Association and the Tuscarawas County Sports Hall of Fame.
