To say Ohio State’s 2021 season was a failure would be drastically overstating things. The Buckeyes still finished the year 11-2, ranked No. 6 in the country, and won one of the most entertaining Rose Bowl games in the history of the game. But it also wouldn’t be unrealistic to say the Scarlet and Gray were ultimately disappointed with the way things concluded given the expectations the program has. No Ohio State player, coach or fan was happy watching Michigan win the Big Ten title at the beginning of December or Alabama take on Cincinnati or Georgia vs. the Wolverines in the College Football Playoff at the end of last month. But the end of one season brings an offseason to improve and the Buckeyes are focused on getting better and not repeating the mistakes of this past year.
