How Ohio State football’s 2022 Big Ten schedule changed, and which games moved to new dates


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football will play the same nine Big Ten opponents at the same locations as originally scheduled. However, the order and dates of six of those nine games have changed as part of an adjustment to the entire league schedule. This is the second year in a row in which the Big Ten has revised its schedule due to changes to the 2020 schedule prompted by the coronavirus pandemic. From the Buckeyes’ standpoint, the biggest change is no longer making back-to-back road trips to Michigan State and Penn State in September to open league play. They now play five consecutive home games to open the season, and the consecutive road games from Oct. 29 at Penn State and Nov. 5 at Northwestern.
