
COLUMBUS, Ohio – After opening up the New Year with a pair of defensive commitments in the 2022 class, the Ohio State football program could be one step closer to snagging its fourth pledge in the 2023 class. Four-star defensive lineman Keith Sampson Jr. of New Bern High School in North Carolina trimmed his top 10 to five on Saturday. He included the Buckeyes with Georgia, Clemson, South Carolina and North Carolina State. Sampson is warm on Ohio State, South Carolina and Alabama, according to 247sports.com. The 6-foot-3, 285-pounder is the No. 30 DL and the nation’s No. 206 overall prospect in the class, according to the 247sports composite rankings. Sampson racked up 62 tackles, including 12 TFL, seven sacks and 25 quarterback hurries in eight games this season.
